ANM NURSING

ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery) is a diploma program in nursing that focuses on providing basic nursing care to individuals, families, and communities. Here are the details of the ANM nursing course:

Duration:The duration of the ANM course is generally 2 years. Some institutes may offer it as a 1.5-year course.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates should have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) in the Science stream from a recognized board.
  • The minimum age limit for admission is typically 17 years, although this may vary between institutions.

Curriculum:

  • ANM courses cover a wide range of subjects related to nursing, midwifery, and community health.
  • Subjects typically include Anatomy and Physiology, Fundamentals of Nursing, Nutrition, Community Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Midwifery, and Pharmacology.
  • The curriculum also includes practical training in nursing procedures, maternal and child health care, family planning, immunization, and health education.

Practical Training:

  • Practical training is an integral part of the ANM course. Students undergo clinical rotations in hospitals, primary health centers, and community settings under the supervision of qualified nursing faculty.
